Completed as part of GDES 150 (Digital Design Applications), this composition serves as a culmination of skills developed throughout the course. The goal was to create a cohesive sci-fi scene using only provided assets while demonstrating technical control and consistency.
I combined imagery using layer masks, adjustment layers, filters, and effects to build depth and atmosphere. A narrative concept guided the composition to ensure all elements supported a unified visual story.
The final piece demonstrates the ability to create cohesive digital compositions using non-destructive editing techniques.
It’s 2135, and Atlantia is under attack by the mighty Zendaks, a violent and aggressive alien species who sought to add Atlantia to it’s vast empire. These aren’t your typical aliens. They don’t just immediately attack their enemies, they plan things out, hurling meteors to neutralize most of the life on whatever planet they’re targeting before attacking. Despite putting up a fight, the Atlantians (basically humans, they just advance faster) were really taking a pounding from the relentless aliens. Unfortunately for the Zendaks, their war was about to be turned on their heads, all by one man who calls himself Zane Raiser. With his help, the Zendaks eventually retreated. However, the invasion left irreparable scars to Atlantia that would ultimately sew the seeds for yet another war...
